All NationalPetPharmacy.com orders are shipped in cardboard boxes and wrapped in bubble wrap or filler to ensure product integrity. All orders are 100% guaranteed.
All orders within the Continental United States are shipped via United Parcel Service ground (UPS) and the United States Post Office (USPS) with the exceptions noted in the next section below. Your Rx order will usually ship within 5-7 days from the date we receive a prescription from your Vet. All other products are shipped 3-5 business days from the date of your order depending on the shipping method you choose.
For your convenience, our delivery vendors will deliver your package to your door without requiring a signature - a nice benefit if you live in an apartment building or if you're not usually at home during delivery hours! (In the rare instances where UPS does not deliver without a signature, a note will be left on your door requesting permission to leave your package the next day.)
Obviously, the shipment of Raw or Frozen Foods requires some special attention on both ends of the shipment.
On our end...
We ONLY ship raw or frozen products on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of each week to assure delivery to your door by no later than Friday.
When we ship your raw or frozen food order, we put it in a special Styrofoam container, with enough Dry Ice to allow for two days of delivery time by UPS. So when your order arrives, it may be partially frozen or chilled but that is OK it is perfectly safe to feed to your pet.
On your end...

Please remember that this is Fresh Food and it is critical that you have it shipped to an address where someone is available to accept your order. If no one is there when the UPS delivery man shows up and he has to take it back with him, it may go Bad! Right, wrong, or otherwise, you should know that our Company Policy DOES NOT ALLOW US TO
ACCEPT RETURNS OF RAW OR FROZEN FOOD! So, if for some reason, you cannot be there, please, please, please either have someone there who can or indicate on your order that your package can be left without a signature. This will save us both a lot of unnecessary worry and hassle!
Note: Currently, we do not ship Raw or Frozen Foods to Alaska or Hawaii given the concerns as outlined above.
Prescription Product Orders:
For all orders that are Prescription medications only (excluding prescription foods), a flat shipping charge of $5.99 applies. This is regardless of where you live or how much medicine your pet needs.
All Other Orders:
If your order contains non-prescription or pet supply items the following shipping calculation will apply:
UPS Rates:
Shipping rates will vary depending on your order weight and delivery destination. The EASIEST way to see your shipping cost is to enter your delivery destination zip code into the shopping cart, where it will automatically be calculated and appear on the screen. This way you will be able to view your shipping charge before you checkout.
Your order will NOT be processed until you've approved the total cost - including shipping - and hit the 'CONFIRM ORDER' button.
As mentioned above, your shipping cost will vary depending on your order weight and delivery destination, but the examples below should give you a general idea of what to expect with your order:
There is nothing worse than a product being out of stock or being told that your product has been back-ordered. We try very hard to not let this happen, but the sad fact is sometimes it will and for that we apologize.
If for some reason one of the products you would like to buy is back ordered or out of stock, you can be assured we will be in touch with you immediately. At that time we will try and determine if there is a suitable replacement product that meets your needs.
Prescription Items: By Federal Law, we are not allowed to accept returns of any prescription items which have
been ordered by your veterinarian. So PLEASE be extra careful when purchasing these items.
Non-prescription items: On all non-prescription items, which for one reason or another do not meet your needs, we guarantee a full refund (minus the initial shipping charge) for all non-prescription merchandise returned to us within 30 days of purchase. Simply contact us by phone toll-free: 1-800-865-1077 or email: NPP@NationalPetPharmacy.com and let us know the problem you have with the non-prescription merchandise and we will do everything within reason to ensure that you enjoy our hassle-free return policy. We will then issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization Number and special instructions for returning the product(s) to us. Your account will be credited when we receive the goods returned.
