Where does Petcurean source its ingredients from?
All of our meat protein excluding lamb is sourced within North America. The lamb we do purchase abroad is from New Zealand and is government and veterinarian inspected prior to entering Canada. The plant which supplies lamb to us is European Union certified, meaning they must adhere to the most stringent standards in the world, and is only one of two plants in the world capable of meeting government regulations in Canada. All of our oil ingredients are sourced within North America. All of the grains and cereals, in our products are sourced in North America with the exception of potatoes, which are purchased from Canada and Holland. The potatoes from Holland are government inspected prior to entering Canada.
How does Petcurean assure quality in the manufacturing of its pet foods?
Our products are manufactured at plants which are EU, FDA, and CFIA inspected, meaning they must uphold a very high standard of sanitation, cleanliness and manufacturing practices. Our products are made using our proprietary recipes and standards, with our specified high quality ingredients. Other plant safeguards include: Third party independent auditing by OCPP/Pro-cert Canada Inc. (organic certification) and/or NSFCook & Thurber, and/or the American Institute of Baking, all organizations used for human food/and/or organic audits.
