How does Proin work? Proin contains Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) which is an adrenergic agent. PPA targets the muscles of the urinary bladder and urethral sphincter and works to tighten these muscles in order to reduce urine leakage.
How is Proin administered? It is recommended to give Proin with food. Exact dosing will depend on your dog’s weight and the severity of his/her problem. Follow the directions given to you by your veterinarian.
