Probiotics/Prebiotics is crucial for young puppies since they are preparing to transition from mother's milk to dog food. Our formula contains Probiotics (digestive enzyme) and Prebiotics (friendly bacteria) so that puppy's digestive system will accept the new food and be able to digest all the vital nutrients.
Most of a puppy's growth occurs in the first 6 months. On the average, a puppy will gain 20 grams per day. After 10 months it will have multiplied its birth weight by 20 times and a proper ratio of protein, fat, vitamins and minerals must be provided to deal with the rapid growth rate. Small breed dogs and puppies have a very limited capacity to digest starch. Therefore, a diet consisting of low starch and high meat protein is crucial for them.
